    前往Ben Thanh Market的途中,大多数到访Saigon的游客都会直接路过Cho Binh Tay。这绝对是个遗憾。这里是Cholon(这座城市的华人区)的批发神经中枢,一个多世纪以来,它一直为越南南部(베트남 / 越南 / ベトナム)提供食品、服装和各类物资。

    Cho Binh Tay由华裔越南商人Quach Dam建于20世纪20年代,坐落于第6郡,正处于Cholon的中心。这里的建筑具有鲜明的中法混合风格:宽阔的中央庭院、带有龙形图案的瓦顶,以及一座稳固整个建筑群的钟楼。该市场在长期关闭后于2018年进行了翻新,重新开放后外观更加亮丽,但运营方式依然如故——作为批发枢纽,吸引着来自Mekong Delta(메콩 델타 / 湄公河三角洲 / メコンデルタ)各地的商贩前来进货。

    与严重依赖旅游业的Ben Thanh Market不同,Cho Binh Tay仍然是一个实打实运转的传统市场。一楼主要批发干货、香料、布料、厨具和零食。楼上则有更多偏向零售的摊位。在这里,绝不会有人追着你穿过过道只为推销一个冰箱贴。

    游客为何慕名而来

    原因有三。首先,建筑本身确实令人惊叹——它是Ho Chi Minh City(호치민시 / 胡志明市 / ホーチミン市)保存最完好的殖民时期市场大厅之一,而且你在这里拍照时,完全不需要躲避满天飞的自拍杆。其次,干果、香料、咖啡豆和越南零食等商品的价格比旅游市场要低得多。第三,Cholon这个街区非常适合漫步探索,而Cho Binh Tay理所当然是最佳的起点。

    如果你对食品在越南南部是如何流通的(谁种植、谁包装、谁分销)感兴趣,这里比任何烹饪课都能提供更真实的视角。

    最佳游览时间

    市场开门很早,大约在早上5:00–6:00,大多数批发活动在上午10:00前进行。如果你想看到这里最繁忙的景象,请尽量在工作日的上午7:00–9:00前往。到了中午,这里的节奏就会明显慢下来。

    就季节而言,11月到次年3月是Saigon(사이공 / 西贡 / サイゴン)的旱季,也是在Cholon漫步最舒适的时候。尽量避免在Tet(春节)前几周前往——为了节日大采购,市场会变得异常混乱。除非你喜欢被拉着金桔树推车的女人挤到干鱿鱼堆成的墙上,如果是这样的话,那就去吧。

    从Bui Vien(第1郡)附近的背包客区出发,Cho Binh Tay位于其以西约5 km处。乘坐Grab摩托车大约需要15–20分钟(取决于交通状况),花费约20,000–30,000 VND。乘坐Grab汽车大约需要40,000–60,000 VND。1路公交车从Ben Thanh Market开往Cho Binh Tay,票价为5,000 VND——虽然慢但能直达,大约需要30–40分钟。

    如果你已经在探索Cholon,从Nguyen Trai街的Thien Hau Pagoda步行到市场很近,大概只需10分钟。

    漫步一楼批发通道

    一楼大致按产品类型划分区域。干货区是最上镜、最香的地方——摊位上堆满了虾米、蘑菇、“che”(糖水)原料和中草药。香料区出售从八角到桂皮的各种商品,其价格会让机场商店显得像是在抢钱。这里一袋500g的整粒黑胡椒售价约为60,000–80,000 VND。

    批量购买零食和糖果

    Cho Binh Tay是Saigon购买越南和越华特色零食(作为礼物或路上吃)的最佳地点之一。可以找找“banh pia”(来自朔庄的潮州风味酥皮月饼)、来自槟椥的干椰子糖以及芝麻花生糖。摊主会让你先尝后买。一盒banh pia的价格在40,000–70,000 VND之间,具体取决于馅料。

    欣赏庭院与建筑

    中央庭院里有一座Quach Dam的雕像和一个喷泉。这是建筑内为数不多的宁静角落之一,也是欣赏屋顶细节和瓦片工艺的好地方。二楼的走廊可以很好地俯瞰一楼的繁忙景象。

    探索周边街道

    Cho Binh Tay周围的街区——特别是沿着Phan Van Khoe和Trang Tu Binh街——开满了小型专卖店。布料、纽扣、拉链、纸制品、塑料家居用品应有尽有。这里并不光鲜亮丽,但却是了解Saigon供应链经济的真实窗口。

    参观附近的Thien Hau Pagoda

    沿着Nguyen Trai向东步行10分钟,就能到达Thien Hau Pagoda(天后宫),这是Saigon最古老的华人寺庙之一,可追溯到18世纪60年代。悬挂在天花板上的盘香是其标志性景观。免费入场。

    附近美食推荐

    毫无疑问,Cholon是Saigon最好的美食街区之一。在市场附近一定要找这两样东西:

    “Hu tieu” Nam Vang(南旺粿条)——这是一种柬华风味的猪肉汤面,Cholon做得比城里任何地方都好。步行范围内有十几家店;市场美食广场里的摊位可以让你花大约40,000 VND快速解决一碗,味道还不错,但如果想品尝最正宗的风味,请去Ton That Thuyet街的Hu Tieu Thanh Xuan。

    大多数游客选择住在第1郡,把Cholon作为半日游的目的地,这很合理。如果你想住得更近一些:

    • 经济型: Cholon周围的宾馆每晚250,000–400,000 VND。设施简单但实用。
    • 中档型: Nguyen Trai街上有几家三星级酒店,提供干净的客房,每晚500,000–800,000 VND。
    • 高档型: 住在第1郡或第5郡交界处,然后打Grab过来。像Windsor Plaza这样的酒店距离不到2 km,每晚1,200,000–1,800,000 VND。

    • 携带现金。这里几乎没有摊贩接受刷卡。自动取款机在周围的街道上,市场内没有。
