老城区是Hanoi的起源地。尽管每个街角的旅游商店都摆着千篇一律的漆画,只要你懂得寻找,这座古老行会城市的筋骨依然清晰可辨。
这套命名体系可追溯至15世纪。当时,同行业的工匠和商人聚居一处,以"Hang"字为街道命名——"Hang"意为"货物"或"商品"。Hang Bac(银匠街)、Hang Vai(布匹街)、Hang Thiec(锡器街)、Hang Ma(祭祀纸品街)。"36条"并非实数,而是越南文化中的一种诗意表达,泛指"许多"之意。如今老城区实有近70条街道,大多数行业早已迁离,但仍有少数几条手工艺街保留着当年的面貌,名副其实。
Hang Ma是保存最为鲜活的一条。这条街全年出售祭祖用的纸扎供品——纸摩托车、纸iPhone、冥币——每逢Tet(农历新年)和中秋节前后更是热闹非凡。色彩张扬,摊位开至深夜。这一整条街值得你放慢脚步,细细走完。
Hang Bac至今仍有银匠和珠宝店,但所售银饰的含银量参差不齐。几家店铺后方的作坊是真实运作的——留意那些在狭窄底层空间深处、俯身对着小型焊枪劳作的老匠人。
Hang Thiec夹在Hang Non与Thuoc Bac之间,是一条真正还散发着金属气息的锡器街。店家在此切割焊接定制排水槽、通风管道和招牌。早晨嘈杂,午后渐趋安静。毫无旅游景点的包装,这正是它的魅力所在。
Hang Chieu(席子与藤制品)和Hang Buom(曾是帆布街,如今卖糖果和蜜饯)值得顺路走过,感受一下历史的余韵,尽管原本的行业已大半消逝。
从老城区北端的Dong Xuan Market出发。这里开市早,一楼出售新鲜蔬果、肉类和干货,覆于一座建于法国殖民时期、如今略显斑驳的有顶大厅之下。楼上是批发布料和成衣区,除非有采购需求,否则吸引力有限。
从Dong Xuan沿Hang Chieu向南走,转入Hang Ma向东。沿Hang Ma走完全程至Hang Thiec,向南转至Hang Non,再向西走上Hang Gai——即"丝绸街",如今两侧林立着裁缝店和ao dai(越南传统长衫)店铺。品质良莠不齐,靠近Hoan Kiem湖的店大多面向游客,越往街道深处,裁缝的手艺越扎实。
从Hang Gai向南走可抵达湖边。文庙在更西南方向,值得单独安排半天前往。从Hoan Kiem出发,可以绕回北边,穿过巷道更为幽深的Ta Hien、Luong Ngoc Quyen、Dinh Liet——这一带酒吧与餐饮最为密集。

Ma May街87号是保存最完好、也最易参观的筒形屋样本——这种狭长的传统民居形制,以最窄的临街面争取最大的使用深度。门票约10,000 VND。中段的天井与后部的祭祖神龛均保存完好。房屋正面仅4米宽,纵深却达约15米。建议在人流涌入前抽出20分钟细细参观。
Hang Dao街38号游客较少,有时不定期闭门,但单看门面便足以领略老城区标志性的法越混合风格——百叶窗扇、内凹式阳台、铺砖门廊。
老城区到处都有Pho,但水准参差不齐。真正值得一吃的,是位于老城区南缘Lo Duc路上的Pho Thin——炒制牛肉河粉,工艺独特,出品稳定。
说到bun cha(烤肉米粉),这道烤猪肉配米粉的Hanoi名吃,同名街道上的Bun Cha Hang Quat朴实无华,颇具本地烟火气。只做午市,下午1:30前售罄。
蛋咖啡的选择:Nguyen Huu Huan路上的Ca Phe Giang是这一饮品的发源地。ca phe trung(蛋咖啡)诞生于20世纪40年代,彼时牛奶匮乏,店主以打发的蛋黄代替。穿过狭窄小巷步入二楼,室内陈设几十年如一日。一杯售价30,000–40,000 VND。
Hang Buom一早有几摊banh mi(越式法棍三明治)车,8点前便收摊离去。这里的banh mi是正宗的越式法棍夹心——猪肉、猪肝酱、泡菜、辣椒。约25,000–35,000 VND一份。
Ta Hien街入夜后是bia hoi(生鲜扎啤)的聚集地——bia hoi即现酿鲜啤,从桶中直接打出,配着低矮的塑料桌椅畅饮。每杯约7,000–10,000 VND。热闹、有趣,坦坦荡荡就是这么一回事。

住在老城区内意味着噪音——摩托车和卡拉OK声往往延续至深夜。Hang Bong与湖之间的街区是最安静的折中选择:步行可达一切,街面喧嚣稍弱。廉价旅馆集中在Hang Bac和Luong Ngoc Quyen;中档精品酒店则陆续进驻Ma May和Hang Buom的改建筒形屋。
如果你对噪音敏感,法式街区(Trang Tien和Hai Ba Trung一带)更为清静,距老城区南缘仅约1.5公里。
老城区最适合在早上9点前漫步,此时正值货物配送,游客尚少——街道呈现的是一个真实运转的生活社区,而非刻意布置的布景。请穿一双能走8至10公里的舒适鞋子;人行道凹凸不平,且常被停放的摩托车占据。大多数街头小摊只收现金,建议将小面额钞票(10,000–50,000 VND)放在前口袋随取随用。
