在抵达越南（Vietnam）后，购买一张当地SIM卡是你应该做的第一件事。移动数据流量价格便宜，覆盖范围总体稳定，而且你需要它来使用地图、Grab（当地主流网约车软件）以及随时预订住宿。但更棘手的问题是：Viettel、Vinaphone和Mobifone这三家运营商，究竟哪家值得买？
简短的回答是：取决于你要去哪里。
Viettel是越南用户数量最多的运营商，更重要的是，它拥有最广泛的基础设施覆盖。如果你的行程包括Ha Giang、Sapa、Phong Nha的偏远地区，或者任何远离主干道的区域，Viettel是唯一明智的选择。他们的信号塔覆盖了其他两家运营商无法触及的山路、河谷和省内城镇。
那些挑战Ha Giang loop（北部最艰苦的公路旅行之一）的游客一致反馈，当Vinaphone和Mobifone降级为2G甚至完全没信号时，Viettel依然能保持4G信号。在中部高地（Central Highlands）的Da Lat周边，以及Ha Tien附近的湄公河三角洲边缘，情况也是如此。
缺点是：Viettel针对游客的客户服务设施较少，在小城镇充值时，有时需要寻找当地小店，而不是品牌直营柜台。
Mobifone在人口稠密的城市环境中表现最好：Hanoi、Saigon、Da Nang、Hue、Hoi An。如果你的行程是标准的“两周城市环游”，且不会偏离旅游路线太远，那么Mobifone在这些地区的4G速度与Viettel不相上下，在建筑物内部有时甚至更快。
Mobifone还提供了一些对游客最友好的SIM卡套餐——标识清晰，在机场柜台有会说英语的员工提供服务，且只需扫描护照即可轻松激活。对于追求便捷的首次访客来说，这一点很重要。
Vinaphone介于两者之间。它的农村覆盖范围比Mobifone好，在极偏远地区略逊于Viettel，城市网速则旗鼓相当。如果你需要在城市和次级目的地（如Ninh Binh、Hoi An外围村庄或Cat Ba岛）之间穿梭，这是一个合理的选择。
Vinaphone通常也拥有最可靠的国际漫游服务，如果你是从邻国入境并希望保留原号码，它是不错的选择，尽管这对大多数游客来说属于小众需求。
价格经常变动，但截至2024年底，游客SIM卡市场大致如下：

这三家都提供4G LTE。目前还没有真正意义上的5G游客套餐——越南的5G部署主要集中在城市且覆盖不均匀。
重要提示：所谓的“无限流量”并非真正无限。每家运营商在用完每日高速流量上限后，都会将速度降至2G水平（128–256 kbps）。这对于导航和发消息没问题，但进行视频通话会非常令人沮丧。

这三家运营商在Noi Bai（Hanoi）、Tan Son Nhat（Saigon）和Da Nang国际机场都设有柜台。柜台位于到达大厅内——Viettel和Mobifone最容易找到，通常有工作人员且标识清晰。Vinaphone的柜台较小，有时只是一个服务台。
机场价格比市区贵20,000–50,000 VND，但工作人员会帮你完成注册、插入SIM卡并确认可用后再离开——如果你抵达较晚或想省心，这是值得的。
请携带护照。SIM卡注册是强制性的，并与你的护照号码绑定。没有护照你无法获得可用的SIM卡。
在市区运营商的品牌店购买（而不是机场柜台或便利店）能让你有更多套餐选择，价格也更低。在Hanoi，Viettel位于Dinh Tien Hoang和Dong Xuan市场附近老城区（Old Quarter）的旗舰店很容易找到。在Saigon，每家运营商在第一区（District 1）都有多家门店。
便利店（Circle K、Winmart、FamilyMart）也出售SIM卡和充值卡，但注册过程有时需要通过二维码，可能会让人困惑。如果是第一次在越南买SIM卡，建议直接去品牌店。

对于大多数往返于Hanoi、Hue、Da Nang、Hoi An和Saigon的游客来说，这三家运营商中的任何一家都能很好地工作。如果你打算前往Ha Giang、深入Phong Nha的洞穴小径，或去北部的任何农村地区，请务必选择Viettel。旅途中更换SIM卡既简单又便宜（新卡仅需20,000–50,000 VND），所以如果你先在城市游玩再前往山区，出发前买一张Viettel卡即可。
